Payment Instructions

General instructions for international payments to banks in PARAGUAY:

• Obtain all required bank information from the Beneficiary, including SWIFT BIC, account number, and beneficiary bank address.
• For Ordering Customer (SWIFT MT103 F50): Include account number, full name (no initials), and address of the ordering customer. Avoid initials to prevent delays.
• For Beneficiary Customer (SWIFT MT103 F59): Include account number, full name (no initials), and address of the beneficiary customer. Avoid initials to prevent delays.
• For Beneficiary Bank (SWIFT MT103 F57): Include SWIFT BIC with branch identifier if required, full name, and address of the beneficiary bank. SWIFT BIC should be 8 or 11 alphanumeric characters, formatted as xxxxPYxx or xxxxPYxxxxx.
• For Reason for Payment (SWIFT MT103 F70): It is recommended to include the purpose of the payment.
• Beneficiary tax ID for individuals can be cédula de identidad or passport number (mandatory Field 70 information).
• Beneficiary tax ID for companies should start with the numbers 800 (mandatory Field 70 information).
• Note that PYG is a zero decimal currency.

Correspondent Banks

Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI) contain the list of correspondent banks of BANCO NACIONAL DE TRABAJADORES for each currency.

Payment Tracking

To track a SWIFT cross-border payment to or from BANCO NACIONAL DE TRABAJADORES, you need a UETR code, reference number, amount, payment date, and currency. This information is typically found in an MT103 form.
