In order to send a SWIFT payment to BANGLADESH it is highly recommended to meet the following recommendations:

Information provided by the Beneficiary: Remitter should obtain all required bank information from the Beneficiary (e.g. SWIFT BIC, account number, and beneficiary bank address). For additional information, please refer to the Central Bank website.

Beneficiary Bank (SWIFT MT103 F57): Include SWIFT BIC and 9-digit routing code if available, or include the full name and full address of the beneficiary bank. SWIFT BIC is 8 or 11 alphanumeric characters: xxxxBDxx or xxxxBDxxxxx.

Below formats are acceptable for beneficiary bank details:

Reason for Payment (SWIFT MT103 F70): Purpose of payment is recommended.

Payment Restrictions: NGOs must register locally and obtain approval before receiving payments for specific projects.

Account Restrictions: Account Restrictions vary. NFCD accounts may now be maintained at the account holder’s desire. Residence Foreign Currency Deposit accounts may be opened in various currencies and maintained as desired. Additional supporting documentation, such as Form C, might be required. For inward remittances up to USD 20,000 equivalent, the declaration on Form C is not required.
