In order to send a SWIFT payment to BARBADOS it is highly recommended to meet the following recommendations:

Remitter should obtain all required bank information from the Beneficiary, such as SWIFT BIC, account number, and beneficiary bank address. For additional information, please refer to the Central Bank at www.centralbank.org.bb. When formatting payments for BBD, ensure to include the account number, full name (no initials), and address of the ordering customer under SWIFT MT103 F50. Similarly, for the Beneficiary Customer under SWIFT MT103 F59, include the account number, full name, and address. The beneficiary’s full address is required to avoid payment delays. For the Beneficiary Bank, include the SWIFT BIC with the branch identifier if required, along with the full name and address of the bank under SWIFT MT103 F57. Use of initials may delay receipt of funds. The SWIFT BIC is 8 or 11 alphanumeric characters formatted as xxxxBBxx or xxxxBBxxxxx. Including the purpose of payment is recommended under SWIFT MT103 F70. Note that payments where the underlying remitter is an MSB or PSP are not supported.
